A Morning of San Antonio’s Arts & Culture

For thousands of years, people have gathered along San Antonio’s river and creeks. These waterways have been essential to San Antonio’s origins as a gathering place for Native American tribes, formation of the UNESCO World Heritage Spanish Colonial Missions, and development as a top tourism destination with its world-famous River Walk and ever-growing San Pedro Creek Culture Park.

San Antonio’s arts scene is just as vital to the city’s identity as its water sources, with the confluence of the many cultures who have called San Antonio home (including Indigenous, Mexican, Tejano, German, Spanish, Irish, African American, Asian, Middle Eastern, and more) creating a rich and diverse heritage celebrated and seen throughout the arts landscape.

Join this tour as we not only explore San Antonio’s waterways, but its vibrant arts and culture as the two blend seamlessly along pathways and cultural organizations located on the banks of the San Antonio River and San Pedro Creek.
